Driver #7 UMP Limited Modified
7/19/08
The #17 team finally turned a corner after struggling with motor failure and suspension problems for the last month and a half. Thomas overcame carburetor problems in the heat race to finish third. The invert landed Schinderle on the pole for the feature and the team made critical set up adjustments to improve the handling of the car. Schinderle led the first half of the race while fighting a tight race car. After a mid race caution, the #55 latemodel of Kyle Anderson raced to the outside of Thomas and the two cars battled it out for the top spot. As the race drew to a close, Thomas could not overcome the tight condition of the car and finished the race in the 3rd spot. " Overall I was extremely happy with our finish tonight. We have been struggling with this car for the last couple of races and I am very satisfied that my team got me to the front. It was unfortunate that as the race progressed the tires began to really come in and magnified the tight condition of the car" , Thomas commented after the race.
The crew would like to invite all fans to come out to the next race on August 2nd for the free spectator admission night. Gary Rollo Motorsports is always looking for others to become involved.

Thomas finally caught a break and drew a good number to start pole in the 4th heat of 30 cars. Schinderle walked away with the win in the eight lap heat race and was set to start 4th in the A-main. The crew made minor adjustments to compensate for the extremely dry track . At the drop of the green flag, Schinderle quickly moved into second and held that spot through two cautions and 15 laps. " I was trying to save my tires and avoid building too much heat in the right rear early in the race", Thomas said. With 5 laps left, Schinderle used the restart to take over the top spot and run away with the win. The win came at a cost though as the motor let go across the finish line and may put Schinderle Motorsports out of contention for a few weeks.
9/15/07-3rd
Schinderle won the second heat race and ,after the invert, was set to start on the pole for the 25 car A-main. Thomas pulled out to an early lead and led the race through 3 cautions. With a fourth caution, the number 7 machine had lost its considerable lead and the car was not the same. " I tried to cool the tires under caution, but the car just did not react the same after the restart", Thomas said. With 5 laps to go, Schinderle struggled with the handling on the car and brought home a 3rd place finish.

Schinderle worked his way into third with a very tight handling race car. The track conditions remained very wet as Schinderle started 10th in the feature. 8/4/07 HRP- 4th
Schinderle pulled a horrible number in the draw and started in the last heat race in last place. It took Thomas a total of 2 laps to slice through the field and run away with the checkered flag. The team made minor adjustments to prepare for the main event. The invert landed Thomas in sixth place to start the feature. The number 7 car quickly moved into fourth place as the top four cars streaked away from the field. Schinderle maintained this spot to the finish after mechanical failure that could not be seen from the stands. " About halfway through the race I felt something break in the front end and it made it very difficult to get the car into the turn. This really killed all momentum that I needed to get through the turn", Thomas said after the race.
7/21/07 HRP -3rd
A good draw put Schinderle on the front row for the heat race that led to a green to checkered victory. The invert for the feature landed Thomas in 8th place starting spot. As the green flag dropped the track conditions were dry and slick. Schinderle stayed patient through the many cautions during the event. The number 7 seemed to be a fifth place car but Thomas managed to get up to third on a last lap pass to end the feature.
6/30/07 HRP – 5th
Schinderle Motorsports started the night out dead last in a 10 car heat race. Thomas worked his way up to second in the first lap but soon found a car spin right in front of his nose. Schinderle avoided the wreck, but lost valuable track position. He managed to salvage the last transfer spot in 4th place. Starting 16th in the main event, Thomas was turned around sideways by the second lap after mis judging the dry track. He was sent to the back of the 24 car pack and had 18 laps to get back to the front. Thomas managed to charge back to 5th place before running out of laps.
6/02/07 HRP – Fan Appreciation Night -1st
Schinderle started 6th in the heat race and brought the car home in 2nd place. The invert for the feature sent him back to 8th to start the feature. It only took Thomas six laps to reach the front of the pack and he never looked back. “ This Pflugerville engine really hooked up on the tacky bottom of the track and made driving really easy for me”, Schinderle said. Thomas would like to thank Redman Automotive for all the support and help they have given the team.
5/12/07 HRP – 3rd
Thomas started near the back of the heat race and worked his way up to 3rd when the checkered flag flew. The car was a little on the tight side so the team decided to add some rear stagger by changing to a different set of tires. The invert for the feature landed Schinderle on the outside pole and he set sail at the front of the pack for 10 laps when the caution flew. The caution brought the pack together and as Schinderle tried a different line, another competitor moved on the outside. The remaining of the race was spent with Thomas and the competitor side by side. On the last lap the outside competitor got loose and hit the wall. As the car bounced back onto the track Thomas did his best to avoid him at the cost of losing some track position. Coming around the last corner Schinderle Motorsports finished 3rd. “ Its disappointing because it could have been two wins in a row , but I would much rather keep the car in one piece and come home 3rd then tear our equipment up”, Thomas said after the race.
5/5/07 HRP- 1st
Schinderle used the Pflugerville power plant to run away with the heat race win early in the day. The invert led Thomas to start 5th for the feature. After two laps Schinderle was in the lead and no one challenged him to the finish. The Pflugerville motor and Performance Accessories carburetor combination was untouchable as the Schinderle Motorsports limited modified worked the high side to the win.
